Great buy!
I needed this lock box to keep people from constantly moving the thermostat. This did the trick. No more unwanted adjustments to the Air or heating. It was easy to install, No Special tools required. Anyone with a screw driver could do it. It looks great Too.

Q: I need multiple units for an office building. Are the locks keyed alike for this unit, or must I retain a drawer full of individual keys?

Yes they are keyed alike. I can now get the clear version at my local hardware store with the same keys but they don't have the metal opaque ones.

They always are keyed alike as far as what I have ever ordered. Even when ordered years apart they still used the same key so unless something has changed you should be fine.

Q: Can this guard be installed without removing the thermostat? How does it fasten to drywall?

Out of the box, can NOT install guard without removing the Tstat from the wall. Reason being, opening on back plate is primarily for wire pass thru. Could cut backplate to fit over Tstat then drill mount back plate to dry wall. Hope that helps your decision. John Olson Bearing Sales Corp
