AutoBooster adds up to 45% capacity to water heater tanks, increasing the amount of available hot water. Homeowners can now enjoy hot showers, longer.
The booster attaches to an existing tank or can be mounted nearby on the wall. It will give a 50 gal. tank the capacity of an 80 gal. tank, without taking up more space.
The vacation mode feature allows homeowners to switch off power to their tank when they’re away, saving money on hot water heating when it isn’t needed.
Installation is a one-trade install and takes as little as 45 minutes, as opposed to new, larger tank installations. Vacation mode also saves homeowners money on energy bills.
AutoBooster can be installed on electric and gas tanks to benefit both current and new water heater owners. Since the booster increases efficiency, small tanks can now produce as much hot water as larger tanks.
Vacation mode with freeze protection is a handy, money-saving feature that won’t jeopardize home safety. If vacation mode is on and the water temperature drops below 60°F, AutoBooster will automatically turn the tank back on.

Great product & easy to install
My previous residence had a 50 gallon tank water heater. My current residence has a 40 gallon tank water heater. After installing the Eemax Autobooster on my 40 gallon tank, it has just as much or even more capacity to provide hot water as the 50 gallon tank did. I can now take 30-35 minute showers whereas before the Autobooster, I was only able to take about 15-20 minute showers with my 40 gallon tank alone. It basically turns your water tank into a smart tank with increased capacity and increased performance.
Using the Autobooster's ECO mode, I have it set to automatically turn the tank off during particular hours of the day while everyone is at work and then automatically turn back on as everyone is arriving back home for the evening. This helps me save on my electricity bill.
The Autobooster is easy to install directly on to your tank's 3/4" NPT outlet.

Arrived used....
Thought I was buying a new one, but it was clearly used. The wrapper on the unit had been replaced and there was water in the inlets and outlets. It wasn't impressed what it was for the money, so I returned it.

Very easy install
The first thing to know about this unit is that it is very easy to install. It works great to do what it's supposed to do... boost the hot water supply. But, be aware that it has a limited flow capacity. So, you can actually overwhelm it and still run out of hot water. If you have a high flow need then I'd recommend installing a regular, separate, tankless water heater unit and couple that to your existing water heater.

Works as expected
Have not run out of Hot Water since installing. Typically have three showers back to back and this unit keeps the water temperature right at 120 degrees. Only downside to it, noisy while operating and it turns on as soon as flow is sensed regardless of not needing to heat the water. Overall pleased with purchase.

Do not buy!
Purchased 2 years ago. Came home from a trip and it was leaking internally. Took out my hot water for days until plumber could remove/replace.

Extra hot water is great but loving digital readouts
Plumber had never installed one but the install came out great. Totally doable by average diy people. It does draw a lot of current and is making some led lights flicker but that's less of an annoyance than running out of hot water. Being able to see gallons per minute, and temp leaving the tank is super helpful. My setup has a mixing valve as well so this allows finer tuning and monitoring.

Great heater
Exactly what I was looking for. As mention by the other review, this booster won't work all the time, only when the hot water in the water heater tank runs out.

Love these heaters
I have one in each property that i own. I use them so i can take a long shower and the my wife gets her shower after me and wants hot water two. This fixes that problem and we both get a hot shower.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffYes, Uponor Wirsbo plumbing pex may be used to connect the unit, You would need two threaded pex adapters, one male and one female to connect to the 3/4" connections on the unit.

Most codes still require no plastic within so many inches of the fired device...I wouldn't risk having the installation flunk inspection without first checking with the authority having jurisdiction.
